RIPK-D is a subfamily of the RIPK (Receptor Interacting Protein Kinase) family that includes a Death domain

====Evolution====
RIPK-D is found in deuterostomes, including sea urchin ANKK1, and mammalian RIPK1-3. Some scattered protostomes also have RIPK-D, including the Brachipod, Lingula anatina (XP_013410821.1, XP_013394896.1) (Lophotrochozoa)

====Domain Structure====
RIPK-D have an N-terminal kinase domain and a C-terminal [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_domain Death] domain. Mammalian RIPK2 has replaced the Death domain with a structurally and functionally similar [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CARD_domain CARD] domain, and RIPK3 has lost the Death domain

Vertebrate RIPK1 and RIPK3 have a short [https://www.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/entry/InterPro/IPR025735/ RHIM motif] used for RIP homo-oligomerization.
